The "1800" refers to the density of the weave, not a direct cotton-equivalent thread count. Thread Count Reality Check

You will see "1800 thread count" on the Amazon listing. Let us be honest: this is a marketing number. True thread count for microfiber does not work the same way as cotton. A 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheet and an 1800-series microfiber sheet are completely different products measured on different scales.

What actually matters for microfiber sheets is the GSM (grams per square meter) -- higher GSM means denser, more durable fabric. Nestl sheets come in at a solid mid-range GSM that balances softness with durability. They are not the thinnest microfiber on Amazon, and they are not the thickest -- they hit the sweet spot for year-round comfort.

If you specifically want high thread count cotton, look at Nestl's percale line instead. But for most people, the microfiber is the better value.

Step 1: Measure Your Mattress
