How to Choose the Right Nestwell Sheet Set
Step 1: Measure Your Mattress
Before ordering, measure the height (thickness) of your mattress from the bottom edge to the top surface. If you use a mattress topper, include that in your measurement. Nestl standard sheet sets have a 16" deep pocket, which fits mattresses up to 16 inches thick. For thicker mattresses (with toppers), go with the 21" extra-deep pocket fitted sheets.
Step 2: Pick Your Size
Nestl sheets come in Twin (39" x 75"), Twin XL (39" x 80"), Full (54" x 75"), Queen (60" x 80"), King (76" x 80"), California King (72" x 84"), and Split King (two 39" x 80" fitted sheets for adjustable bases). When in doubt, go up a size -- a slightly larger flat sheet is better than one that does not tuck in properly. See our full sizing guide.
Step 3: Choose Your Color
Nestl offers 24 colors across most product lines. Practical tips from experience:
- Darker colors (charcoal, navy, burgundy) show less wear and are more forgiving with stains
- White and ivory give a luxury hotel feel but need more careful washing (cold water only, no bleach)
- Mid-tones (sage green, light grey, lavender) are the sweet spot -- they look fresh and hide minor imperfections
Step 4: 4-Piece or 6-Piece?
The 4-piece set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillowcases) covers the basics. The 6-piece set adds 2 extra pillowcases for about $5 more -- a much better deal than buying pillowcases separately at $10 per pair. If you have the budget, always go 6-piece.
Care Instructions
Nestl microfiber sheets are about as low-maintenance as bedding gets:
- Machine wash cold or warm on gentle cycle
- Tumble dry low -- remove promptly
- Skip the fabric softener (microfiber is already soft; softener clogs the fibers)
- Skip the bleach (even on white sheets -- it breaks down microfiber)
- No ironing needed -- they come out wrinkle-free
- Wash dark colors separately for the first 2-3 washes
